Meet the People Growing Dry Creek Valley

One of the best things about Dry Creek Valley is that many of the people growing your food are also the people pouring your wine, selling at the farmers market, or serving dinner just down the road. It's a community where agriculture and hospitality are deeply connected.

Some of our favorite local producers include:

  • Reeve Wines — A beautiful winery on Dry Creek Road producing elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and sparkling wines. Their thoughtful farming and intimate tasting experience make them one of our favorite places to recommend.

  • Dry Creek Vineyard — One of the pioneers of modern Dry Creek Valley winemaking and an early champion of sustainable viticulture.

  • Preston Farm & Winery — More than a winery, Preston grows vegetables, olives, grains, fruit, and livestock, demonstrating what a truly diversified family farm can look like.

  • Quivira Vineyards — Known for biodynamic farming, pollinator habitat, and healthy soils that support both vines and wildlife.

  • Front Porch Farm — A small regenerative flower and vegetable farm that hosts seasonal u-picks, workshops, and farm events, helping connect visitors directly with local agriculture.

  • SingleThread Farm - Restaurant - Inn — The farm behind one of the country's most celebrated restaurants grows an astonishing variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit that inspire its ever-changing menus. The farm is just 2 minutes from Dry Creek Wonderland!

  • Little Saint — With a restaurant and Inn located in downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is also deeply involved in the agriculture in the valley with its own farm. The menu and farm stand showcases seasonal produce through its plant-forward menus and community programming - check out regular live music on Thursdays.

  • Dry Creek Peach & Produce — A longtime local favorite for peaches, tomatoes, melons, and whatever happens to be in season.

Saturday Mornings at the Healdsburg Farmers' Market

If you want to experience Sonoma County like a local, spend Saturday morning at the Healdsburg Certified Farmers' Market. You'll find farmers selling just-picked produce, pasture-raised meats, flowers, olive oil, eggs, artisan bread, honey, and seasonal specialties—all grown or produced within a short drive of town.

Depending on the season, you'll often find produce from farms such as Front Porch Farm, Dry Creek Peach & Produce, Green Star Farm, and other small Sonoma County growers alongside local ranchers, cheesemakers, beekeepers, bakers, and flower farmers. Every week is a little different, which is part of the charm.

It's one of our favorite Saturday traditions: grabbing coffee, chatting with growers about what's in season, picking up flowers and vegetables for dinner, and watching the valley come together. If you're staying with us, we highly recommend making the farmers' market part of your weekend itinerary before heading out for a day of wine tasting.
